History
Pinehaven was started as a small part time hobby for Niels and Sally Jensen. Started in 1966 with one acre of property and the greenhouses taking up 1/10 of the acreage.
In the winter of 1985 they bought an acre greenhouse on a ten acre lot. Since then Bryan and Bruce Jensen have entered the family business.
In the last thriteen years they have added many new greenhouses, new improvements, and have recently added a 1/2 acre state of the art greenhouse with a retractable roof.
In 1997 an automatic transplanter was purchased; it can plant, tag, and water from one central location. The transplanter approximately plants 400 flats an hour.
We grow 65,000 flats annually, that's 2.7 million seedlings. We also grow 30,000 Garden Mums and 50,000 Poinsettias.
That's a lot of Poinsettias!
